This is a ‘pedelec’ kit so your converted E-bike will still be legally a bicycle – not a ‘Motor Propelled Vehicle’.  No license, annual test, insurance or road tax required.

  • Remote operation panel for safe, easy control.
  • Motor offers very low resistance to rotation when not powered.
  • 42T chain-ring 110BCD
  • Larger chain-rings are readily available e.g 52T, 5 arm BCD110
  • Motor assist limited to 25Kph, above that speed your on human power alone.
  • Your converted bike will still be a bicycle under Irish law (The Road Traffic and Roads Act 2023).  Road Safety Authority 

Select a 36 volt e-bike battery to suit your needs.  A battery with a larger Amp Hour (AH) rating will improve your range between charges.  Bear in mind, that if you want to travel 40km from your home base, you’ll need an 80km range to get there and back.  A 12.5 AH battery is as small as we’d recommend.   The physical size of the battery increases with the AH rating.
